 The Heavy:  A Mother, A Daughter, A Diet:  A Memoir by Dara-Lynn Weiss.

At the beginning of the year I decided to read more.  That being said, I wanted to read more non-fiction.  I find real-life/true stories fascinating.  I joined the St. Catharines Public Library On-Line Non-Fiction Reading Club & dove into the first book, The Heavy: A Mother, A Daughter, A Diet:  A Memoir by Dara-Lynn Weiss.  This was an interesting book that really made you think.  I am not sure I agree with all the author did in regards to putting her 6 year old obese daughter on a diet but then I was not in her shoes.  I am not sure what I would have done given the same circumstances.  An interesting read.  Recommended
