Sock Bug!

I may have the dreaded 'Sock Bug' instead of 'Second Sock Syndrome'. I wonder if I will wake up & realize it was all a dream.

I have cast on another pair of socks, this time in Opal yarn colourway 108 & I am really enjoying them. I have actually finished the first sock & have already cast on the second one. I am motoring only on this one as well. Interesting since I usually do not like knitting anything twice, do not like mittens etc.

Refashioned Canvas Bag

I bought this canvas bag at a garage sale for 50c. DD claimed it and uses it to tote her stuff to school. It had a logo on it that she did not like, the local shopping mall.

We found a "Dr Who" patch the DH did not get sewn onto his jean jacket. DD snafued it & now it is on her canvas bag. Looks great as well!!

Another project for DD's school course.

She spent Thanksgiving Monday sewing this Noah's Ark toy. She did a fantastic job. Now to see what mark she gets for these projects.

Jayne (Cobb) Hat

Both DD's are fans of Josh Whedon's 'Firefly' TV series & the movie 'Serenity'. DD#2 wanted a Jayne (Cobb) Hat!!

I knitted this Jayne Hat while watching the episode "Message" in which Jayne receives the hat from his mom & the DVD disc 4 easter egg, in which Adam Baldwin wears the hat while singing “The Hero of Canton”. It was quick & easy to knit & I used 'Red Heart Comfort' yarn.

Here is my finished Jayne Hat for DD#2

She is absolutely thrilled. She wanted to wear it to bed!

DD#1 has to make a puppet for one of her school courses.

Parameters are:
Be creative
Has to be washable
Can be a pattern but not a kit.

DD found this book at the library.

As you can see there is no "Second Sock Syndrome" here! I am finished DH's Christmas socks. I am thrilled at the way they turned out. Now to start another pair before the dreaded SSS appears. LOL!!!
