Trigun's Black Cat

I made BW a Bonta Kun bag a few years ago. The bag has been well loved. Canadiangirl was at BW's for her birthday. She came home & said "Mum, the Bonta Kun bag is getting rather tattered as it has been well loved. Can you make another bag for her for her birthday next November" I said "What other anime does BW like as I think it would be good to make a different bag this time." Well she loves Trigun's black cat named "Kuroneko"

These are the pictures I found

These are how they cleaned up in Photoshop

I am not sure which ones I like. I will have to get Canadiangirl's opinion.

Edited: Canadiangirl's choice is the full cat & she wants me to put him on a backpack. I have seen a monkey backpack in one of the Stitch n Bitch books. Now to find the pattern!

Found the pattern Punk Rock Backpack in the book Stitch n Bitch by Debbie Stoller. Charted the cat pattern. Here is how it turned out!

UPDATE: June 13, 2009
This project has entered the frog pond. It was not working out how I wanted & it did not look right. BW will be getting something else for her birthday - a Kittyville Hat from Debbie Stoller's Stitch n Bitch book.

The Horde - World of Warcraft

CL has requested another pillow, this time for this 21st birthday in 2009!! I think I have created a "pillow monster" This will be his 4th pillow. Is there going to be any end to this!!

This is what the Horde looks like

This is how it cleaned up in Photoshop

Now I have to chart it on Knitter's graph paper

Update:
Found this Horde Chart on Ravelry. Will not have to chart it now.

What Canadiangirl Has Been Doing?

Canadiangirl has one major assignment left for the semester. She had to take time off school to finish this project.

She found what she wanted to make in this book.
She liked the doll on the cover.

Here are the instructions for the doll Silky K.
Boy! was this a fiddly project!!

Here are the results.
She still has to sew on the eyes, mouth & make the hair.

Veggie Tales Blanket

Canadiangirl loves Veggie Tales. She found this blanket panel at Lens Mill in Hamilton & HAD to have it. I had to sew the bias binding around the edge to finish it off. Not bad!!

Fingerless Mitts

I think that my numerous pairs of knitted Fingerless Mitts constitutes a Viral. I have knitted 5 pairs for Canadiangirl, Shinyboots (DD#2), BW's birthday, & 2 teachers as a Thank You. I have finished a pair of Intercostal Mitts for DH & I have a pair on the needles for myself.

Canadiangirl's mitts

Shinyboots mitts

BW's Birthday mitts

Teacher's Thank You mitts

DH's Computer mitts
(pattern: Intercostal Mitts)

I still have my Fingerless mitts on the needles but I have to finish the curtains first.
