My First Pair of Socks

WAAAAA HOOOOOOO!!!!!!
I have finished my first pair of socks!!! I feel that I have knitted socks for a teenager with 3 feet. The first sock was finished to the toe decreasing & then I had to be FROGGED as it was too saggy. I changed the pattern & this is the finished product. They are made with Patons Kroy "Kool Stripes" I am really pleased with them. DD#1 is absolutely thrilled. Now DD#2 wants a pair.

Don't know whether I will get the sock bug. I am not too thrilled with knitting the second sock!! LOL!!!

If Knitting Is the Process?

If knitting is the process then this is on the HATED list!!! Was glad to see the end of this one!! Not really sure but I think it was because it was not the original pattern I had chosen. I could not get the pattern to look like the picutre, so it was frogged several times. Finally deciding to change the pattern I was NOT going to frog the border as well so I just changed to middle pattern. BIG MISTAKE!! I should have started again. I am fairly happy with how it did turn out but still do not like it. Hopefully the recipient will like it. Will not be telling her about the process!!!! LOL!!!

Felted Furry Foot Warmers

These are the "Felted Furry Foot Warmers" from the book 'Stitch n Bitch Nation' by Debbie Stoller. I am absolutely thrilled with the way they turned out. DD#1 is estatic!! She has not had them off her feet since they have been felted. They were knitted with Lopi & Fun Fur.

I Have Found the Secret to one of Lifes Mysteries!!

Yes, I have found the secret to one of life's mysteries. No, Not how they got the caramel into the Caramilk Bar, although I do enjoy getting the caramel out!!! . . . . . .

The mystery of . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

FELTING!!!!

These are the Ballerina Slippers that have taken absolutely ages to felt as it would take ALL afternoon to get them to shrink. NO more!!! I can now do it in one maybe 2 cycles. The secret is 'DAWN' dish detergent. I have absolutely no idea why it works but it does . . . well it does for me anyway!!!

DD#2 is absolutely thrilled with her slippers!!

(These slippers were also dyed with Kool-Aid)
